Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to inpatient rehab patients
• Administer IV therapy and manage Baxter and Kangaroo pumps with confidence
• Collaborate closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to advance patient recovery
• Use Meditech EMR to accurately document care, progress, and discharge planning
• Safely move and mobilize patients using mechanical lifts and SARA steady systems
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Deliver wound care and rehabilitation-focused interventions for stroke and TBI patients
• Contribute to unit teamwork, mentor peers when appropriate, and support a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of practice required) — compact license accepted where applicable
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience, preferably in rehab or med-surg
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Proven IV therapy experience and comfort with infusion pumps
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Comfort with mechanical lifts and safe patient-handling techniques
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend schedule
• Flexible, kind, thorough, and ready to thrive in a collaborative environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a rehabilitation setting
• Wound care knowledge and experience managing post-stroke and TBI patients
• Competence with IV management, pump programming, and infusion safety
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary rehab teams
• Accurate charting and documentation practices in Meditech
• Safe patient handling and use of mechanical lift equipment
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced inpatient unit while maintaining empathy
