Shift Type: Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (days of week not specified); on-call support for late surgical cases as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations and document findings clearly
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on patient function and safety
- Deliver hands-on and adaptive interventions to support recovery across hospital units
- Collaborate with nurses, PTs, physicians and the care team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Complete timely Meditech documentation to support continuity and quality of care
- Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment and discharge needs
- Participate in unit goals such as the 100% evaluation of CVA patients and quick order turnaround
- Provide flexible support across units and assist recreational therapy when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (required) — relevant to Occupational Therapy or related field
- Idaho Occupational Therapy License (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (as listed in the posting)
- Experience with patient evaluations, treatment planning and hospital-based OT work
- Comfort using Meditech EMR for documentation and care coordination
- Kind, flexible, supportive attitude and openness to feedback — strong teamwork skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in OT evaluations and individualized treatment planning
- Solid documentation practices in Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to manage varied patient caseloads across ICU, MS, ortho and behavioral health areas
- Strong communication and patient/family education skills
- Familiarity with standard hospital therapy equipment and safety protocols
- Adaptability to float between units and respond to evaluation orders quickly
