Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT exams with attention to protocol, patient safety and image quality
- Position patients and operate CT equipment efficiently and compassionately
- Ensure radiation safety standards are met for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; escalate maintenance issues as needed
- Document procedures and maintain clear, timely patient records
- Provide patient education and comfort before, during and after imaging exams
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience (as listed in the job details)
- Current ARRT (CT) certification or eligible (preferred — have your credentials ready!)
- State radiologic technologist licensure as required by Florida
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to work independently on night shift
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program
- ARRT certification in Radiography/CT (or equivalent pathway) typically required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Experience with PACS, RIS and digital image management
- Excellent communication and patient-handling skills
- Ability to follow established protocols and adapt to clinical needs
