Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 12-hour nights. Weekends as needed (no on-call)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, patient-centered care for med/surg/telemetry patients, maintaining safety and dignity
- Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG data to detect and escalate critical changes
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy with accuracy and clinical judgment
- Perform and manage urinary catheter and central line care and maintenance
- Document clearly and completely in the EHR (Meditech) to ensure continuity of care
- Manage an assigned patient load of up to 4-6 patients while prioritizing patient needs
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and families
- Participate in unit routines, handoffs, and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current RN certification/licensure (registered nurse required)
- Minimum 1 year acute med/surg/telemetry experience within the last year (required)
- Ability to safely care for 4-6 patients at a time and manage competing priorities
- Experience with telemetry patients and EKG interpretation
- Meditech EHR experience is a plus
- Preferred: 2+ years telemetry experience including PCI and CABG POD 2
Education
- Education not specified in posting; valid RN certification/licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and alarm recognition
- EKG interpretation and cardiac post-op care knowledge
- Medication administration best practices and IV insertion skills
- Urinary catheter and central line maintenance
- Strong EHR documentation skills (Meditech)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy
