Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across acuity levels
• Perform rapid assessment, triage and prioritization to ensure timely treatment
• Deliver evidence-based interventions for trauma, STEMI, stroke and moderate sedation
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff for coordinated patient care
• Maintain clear, concise patient and family education during fast-paced encounters
• Participate in unit protocols, code responses and quality improvement activities
• Uphold infection control, safety standards and ED-specific policies at all times

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience (2 years preferred)
• Current BLS; ACLS, TNCC and ENPC highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with trauma care, STEMI and stroke protocols
• Competency with moderate sedation procedures and monitoring
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate weekends as required
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
