Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (vascular and general) with accuracy and compassion
• Operate and optimize Logic E10, Logic E9 and S8 systems to produce high-quality images
• Assist with procedures including breast and thyroid imaging, liver biopsy assistance, paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Document findings and patient care thoroughly in Meditech
• Ensure excellent patient experience through clear communication and empathetic care
• Follow unit-specific policies, dress code (black scrubs) and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with the Radiology team and float to FSED as needed to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

• RVT certification required — this is a must-have
• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience (vascular ultrasound experience preferred)
• Comfortable assisting with biopsies and procedures (liver biopsy assistance, paracentesis, thoracentesis)
• Proficient with Logic E10/E9/S8 equipment and Meditech documentation
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Willingness to work the posted schedules and occasionally float to FSED

Knowledge & Skills

• Vascular ultrasound and sonography techniques
• Breast and thyroid ultrasound knowledge
• Procedure assistance for biopsies, paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Familiarity with Logic E10, Logic E9 and S8 ultrasound systems
• Meditech electronic documentation proficiency
• Patient-centered communication, teamwork, and time management
• Equipment care and infection prevention (Trophon familiarity a plus)
