Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality med/surg patient care for a diverse adult population
• Perform and manage clinical procedures such as IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, and central line care
• Administer medications safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic health record (Meditech)
• Provide Continuous Bladder Irrigation and manage nasogastric tube insertion/maintenance as clinically indicated
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes
• Manage patient assignments (typically 4–6 patients) with sound clinical judgment and patient-centered focus

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Minimum 1+ year acute med/surg experience within the last year (must-have)
• Ability to safely care for 4–6 patients per assignment
• Experience with Meditech or other EHR systems preferred
• Preferred: 2+ years caring for neuro patients (CVA/TIA, AMS) — considered a plus

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (education level not specifically stated)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med/surg clinical skills and assessment abilities
• IV insertion and management expertise
• Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance
• Central line maintenance knowledge
• Medication administration and medication safety practices
• EHR documentation proficiency (Meditech experience helpful)
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation and NGT insertion/maintenance skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered approach
