Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3 shifts/week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night) — includes approximately 4 weekend shifts/month (PM weekend pattern: Fri/Sat/Sun)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert ventilator management and ventilator care for critically ill adult patients
- Perform trach care and manage non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapies with confidence
- Safely conduct patient transports while maintaining respiratory support and monitoring
- Assess respiratory status, initiate treatments, and adjust therapy in collaboration with the care team
- Document care accurately in the EMR and communicate changes to physicians and nurses
- Support unit workflows and contribute to a team culture focused on excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active state respiratory license (TX) or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
- ACLS certification required; BLS recommended
- Minimum 1 year of Adult Critical Care experience (must-have for consideration)
- Comfort with ventilators, NIV, trach care and acute care transports
- NICU experience is a plus for PM shift consideration
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of adult critical care respiratory therapies and ventilator modes
- Skilled in tracheostomy management, NIV and complex respiratory treatments
- Comfortable using EMR systems for documentation and care coordination
- Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and bedside communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across nursing and physician teams
