Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize ventilator care for critically and acutely ill patients using Draeger and other ventilators
• Perform ABGs, titrate oxygen therapy, and conduct oximetry studies to guide clinical decisions
• Set up and monitor CPAP/BiPAP therapy and deliver aerosol treatments with confidence
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust respiratory care plans
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies and equipment use
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes
• Serve as a reliable resource during night shifts, ensuring continuity of care and escalation when needed

Qualifications

• Missouri license required (active and in good standing)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience (per job listing)
• PALS, ACLS, NRP, or ACCS preferred (have any of these? you’ll be prioritized)
• Comfortable documenting in Meditech and working with Draeger ventilators (V60, EV300, V30) and HHFNC devices

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills and familiarity with Draeger systems
• Proficient with CPAP, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and oxygen therapy
• Skilled in performing and interpreting ABGs and oximetry studies
• Experience documenting in Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines during night shift care
• Ability to adapt to varied patient ratios and fast-paced unit needs
