Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans that help clinicians make confident diagnoses
• Operate and maintain the GE Discovery 450 MRI system with attention to safety and image quality
• Screen patients and enforce MRI safety protocols, including implant and contraindication checks
• Position patients and select appropriate scanning protocols to achieve optimal diagnostic images
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech and local EMR systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to escalate urgent findings and improve patient outcomes
• Work independently on overnight shifts while maintaining excellent communication with team members

Qualifications

• BLS (required)
• ARRT certification (required)
• ACLS (preferred, but not required)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience (per job posting)
• Experience operating GE Discovery 450 or similar 1.5T systems
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and standard radiology workflows
• Comfort working independently on overnight shifts and willing to work weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, protocols, and image optimization
• Patient safety and screening for MRI contraindications
• Proficiency with GE Discovery 450 operation and routine troubleshooting
• Experience documenting in Meditech and integrating with PACS systems
• Ability to deliver excellent patient care and communication in a fast-paced unit
• Critical thinking and flexibility for independent night-shift responsibilities
