Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, prioritizing safety and timely interventions
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support for ventilated patients
• Provide hemodynamic monitoring and titrate vasoactive medications per protocol
• Perform and assist with ICU procedures such as central/arterial line care, chest tube and EVD management, and lumbar puncture assistance
• Deliver accurate medication administration and reconciliation while following best practices
• Operate and interpret advanced devices (CRRT, SLED, EV1000) and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• Document thoroughly in Meditech to ensure continuity of care and accurate patient records
• Provide compassionate family-centered care and clear communication during critical moments

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of practice required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Comfortable with ventilators, CRRT/SLED, EVDs, arterial and central line management
• Ability to float to med/surg if needed and adapt to changing unit needs
• Strong teamwork and patient/family communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred); active RN license required

• Critical care nursing principles and ICU workflows
• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator troubleshooting
• Hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medication titration
• CRRT and SLED operation and patient management
• EVD, chest tube, central and arterial line care
• Meditech electronic documentation
• Use of EV1000 and advanced monitoring systems
• Procedure assistance and sterile technique familiarity
