Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive MRI exams across the full spectrum of studies, ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Operate GE MRI equipment and document studies accurately in GE PACS and Meditech
- Provide compassionate patient care: prepare patients, explain procedures, and monitor comfort throughout exams
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to optimize protocols and troubleshoot exams
- Adhere to unit guidelines and hospital policies to maintain a safe, efficient MRI environment
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly when assigned
Qualifications
- ARRT certification (Must have)
- BLS certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience (as stated)
- Experience with GE MRI equipment and GE PACS
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
- Hospital certifications appreciated: Trauma 2, NICU, Stroke (preferred or desirable)
- Strong patient-care skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in MRI protocols and safety practices
- Hands-on experience with GE imaging systems and GE PACS workflow
- Solid documentation skills in Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to manage urgent cases and call duties calmly and effectively
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Understanding of hospital/unit staffing and imaging clerical workflows
