Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor critically ill patients on a 2:1 ratio with attentive, evidence-based care
• Perform advanced ventilator management and sedation oversight to optimize respiratory support
• Titrate medications safely and accurately based on patient response and protocols
• Provide skilled care for procedures performed on the unit, including trach placement, bronchoscopy support, and cardioversion assistance
• Document care promptly and thoroughly in Meditech to maintain clear clinical communication
• Deliver patient-centered education using AIDET and medication teaching to improve patient experience
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of Tennessee license or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/ICU nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (current)
• Trauma III certification as noted by the facility
• Comfortable with ventilator management, sedation protocols, and medication titration
• Experience with Meditech documentation, GE monitors, Drager ventilators, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and solid problem-solving abilities

• Ventilator management and respiratory assessment

• Use of GE monitors, Drager ventilators, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis systems
