Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in endoscopy suites, ensuring patient safety and smooth procedure flow
• Assist advanced procedures including ERCP, EUS, EBUS and robotic bronchoscopy with competence and calm
• Provide perioperative care in preop and PACU areas, performing focused patient assessments and monitoring
• Document care accurately and timely using Meditech Expanse and Provation
• Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and Olympus scopes, coordinating with the scope washer team
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and unit staff to optimize patient throughput and experience
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations and discharge instructions
• Champion infection control and unit policies during huddles and daily operations

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy/perioperative nursing experience; 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support advanced procedures (ERCP, EUS); credentials per scope of practice required
• Experience circulating in endoscopy, PACU and preop environments
• Comfortable using Meditech Expanse and Provation for documentation
• Ability to float to ASC and other nearby facilities as needed

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures: colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, bronchoscopy, Pill Cam and Bravos
• Proficiency with Olympus scopes and OER elite washer operation
• Familiarity with robotic bronchoscopy (ION) workflow and team coordination
• Excellent perioperative assessment skills and PACU monitoring
• Solid documentation practices in electronic health records (Meditech Expanse, Provation)
• Effective communication, teamwork and patient-centered care approach
