Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing needs and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver meaningful inpatient rehab interventions focused on ADLs and functional recovery
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, nurses, and rehab aides to coordinate care
• Perform timely and thorough evaluations and document progress in Meditech
• Adapt therapy to patient needs using equipment such as H200/L300 and BURT when appropriate
• Educate patients and families to support carryover and long-term outcomes
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by communicating clearly and flexing to meet patient needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (as stated)
• Required certification: BLS
• Basic knowledge of inpatient rehab is a must
• Ability to flex and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Previous inpatient rehab experience and willingness to work weekends are preferred
• Comfortable documenting in Meditech and using common inpatient rehab equipment

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluations and treatment of ADLs in an inpatient rehab setting
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record
• Experience with H200/L300 and BURT equipment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability
• Ability to manage caseloads and prioritize patient-centered care
