Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to med/surg and telemetry patients, managing patient needs and safety
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and perform EKG interpretation to identify changes quickly
- Administer medications, maintain central lines, and manage urinary catheters with attention to infection prevention
- Perform IV insertions, NGT care, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation as required by patient condition
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Meditech EHR to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Manage assignments of 4-6 patients while prioritizing critical tasks and advocating for patient needs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year acute med/surg or telemetry experience within the last year (required)
- Comfort and ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
- Experience with Meditech or similar EHR documentation
- Preferred: 2+ years telemetry experience and familiarity with PCI and CABG POD 2
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Med/surg nursing principles and patient assessment
- IV insertion and peripheral access management
- Urinary catheter insertion and maintenance
- Central line maintenance and sterile technique
- Medication administration and safe medication practices
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation and NGT insertion/maintenance
- Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Comfort working in a busy ED-holds/telemetry environment with up to 6:1 patient ratios
