Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; schedule varies and may include every-other-weekend coverage (primarily day shift; may float to MedSurg, ICU for border patients, or ED holds)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality PCU nursing care to a 20-bed unit, keeping patients safe and comfortable
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene promptly—your dysrhythmia recognition skills matter
- Manage critical IV drips and titratable medications with precision and vigilance
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out patient-focused plans of care
- Educate patients and families about procedures, condition changes, and discharge planning
- Document care accurately in the Expanse EMR and communicate handoffs clearly at shift change
- Float to MedSurg, ICU (for border patients), or the ED as needed while maintaining high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) credentials appropriate for practice (state license or compact as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience (candidates without PCU experience will not be considered)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- NIAH certification (required)
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip/IV infusion management experience
- Comfortable using Expanse (EMR) and familiar with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
- Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously when needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia identification
- IV infusion/drip titration and critical drip management
- Post- and pre-cardiac cath care and pacer patient management (preferred)
- Experience with Expanse EMR documentation
- Ability to manage a 4:1 patient ratio in a progressive care environment
- Comfort floating to MedSurg, ICU, and ED holds when necessary
