Shift Type: Varies; Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule is self-scheduled with every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage and flexible options (exact days vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to a mixed ICU patient population, managing complex ventilator and hemodynamic needs
- Respond promptly and effectively as a Code Blue and Rapid Response Team responder
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Perform and monitor advanced procedures including IABP support, TEE/cardioversion assistance, therapeutic hypothermia, and STEMI/PCI care
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and participate in bedside handoffs and hourly rounding
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating clearly, using whiteboards, and practicing AIDET principles
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Medical/Surgical) experience
- ACLS and BLS required
- IABP experience and CCRN certification preferred
- Comfort with ventilator management and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Ability to work as part of a team and float to critical care or intermediate care as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in high-acuity situations
- Experience with ventilators, GE B650 cardiac monitors, and temp pacers
- Skilled in sepsis, stroke/TPA, DKA, and post-PCI care
- Proven effectiveness in code and rapid response scenarios
- Good communication skills for patient and family teaching and clear handoffs
- Adaptability for mixed patient populations and flexible scheduling
