Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of S-10 Charity/Uninsured schedules and Bad Debt Analysis for cost report filings — your work helps shape accurate reimbursement outcomes
- Support the reimbursement team with Medicare DSH calculations claimed on filed cost reports, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Prepare and review cost report filings and related supporting documentation to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Collaborate with Financial Services colleagues and cross-functional partners to resolve reporting questions and streamline processes
- Analyze reimbursement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved reporting
- Drive documentation best practices and provide clear explanations of methodologies used in reports
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Medicare DSH, S-10 Charity/Uninsured, Bad Debt Analysis and cost report filings — you know the processes and the pitfalls
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail — accuracy is non-negotiable
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tools (Excel) and comfort with financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with the Financial Services team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience in healthcare reimbursement)
