Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on outpatient physical therapy using strong manual therapy techniques
- Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with chronic pain, orthopedic issues, and balance concerns
- Create individualized treatment plans that prioritize function, safety, and quality of life
- Supervise and mentor a PTA, ensuring high-quality patient care and professional development
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate outcomes with the care team
- Educate patients and families on home programs, fall prevention, and long-term management
Qualifications
- Active CA PT license (required)
- Outpatient physical therapy experience (required)
- Strong manual therapy skills and confidence treating orthopedics, geriatrics, and balance disorders
- Experience supervising a PTA or willingness to take on supervisory responsibilities
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in physical therapy assessment and treatment planning
- Manual therapy techniques for outpatient orthopedic and geriatric populations
- Balance rehabilitation and fall-risk reduction strategies
- Experience with outpatient documentation and productivity expectations
- Ability to mentor and supervise PTA staff effectively
- Patient education and home exercise program development
