Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (schedule set in 6-week blocks); includes 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; may require floating throughout a 60-mile zone
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate patient care as the charge nurse across mixed ICU populations
- Provide high-acuity critical care for MICU, SICU, TICU and CVICU patients
- Manage advanced therapies including CRRT, IABP, Impella and ventilator support
- Safely titrate critical drips (pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin)
- Interpret telemetry and independently manage cardiac monitoring without tech support
- Respond to codes and rapid responses and provide calm, decisive leadership
- Float between units and sister facilities as needed to ensure excellent patient care
- Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC and participate in unit communication
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for submission in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience plus prior charge nurse experience
- If you are a first-time travel nurse: 3+ years of ICU experience and EPIC experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Comfortable titrating critical drips and managing advanced ventilator modalities
- Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BSN not required but may be preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven critical care nursing skills: CRRT, IABP, Impella management
- Ventilator management including vents, CPAP, BiPAP and high flow
- Telemetry interpretation and independent rhythm recognition
- Titration of critical drips and familiarity with common ICU medication infusions
- Charge nurse leadership, triage and team coordination
- EPIC charting and clinical documentation best practices
- Ability to float across acuity levels and adapt to varying unit workflows
