Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional couplet care to obstetric and postpartum patients and their newborns
• Read and interpret fetal strips and manage electronic fetal monitoring using TraceView/PIP
• Titrate IV drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium) safely per AWHONN guidance
• Perform neonatal care and collaborate with the care team when higher-level support is needed
• Document thoroughly in Meditech and keep accurate telemetry/monitoring records on Philips systems
• Float to Medsurg and Emergency Department as needed to support hospital staffing
• Follow unit quality metrics, infection prevention and AWHONN ratio guidelines
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license (license to submit indicated)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (per job requirements)
• BLS required and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
• Preferred: ACLS, NRP, STABLE certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read/interpret fetal strips and titrate drips
• Comfortable floating to Medsurg and ED when needed
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability and clear communication skills
• Previous travel nurse experience is a plus

• Meditech charting and documentation best practices
• Philips telemetry/monitoring systems and TraceView/PIP EFM
• Telemetry monitoring, critical thinking and prioritization
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient advocacy
