Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day). 5x8 schedule, no weekends. Guaranteed 72 hours per 2 weeks; traveler may be called off for one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks. Some occasional evening variations may occur depending on department needs.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate MRI, CT, and X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, delivering high-quality diagnostic images
- Perform advanced MRI protocols (MR Pulmonary, MR Angio, T1-weighted sequences, spine imaging and more)
- Prepare and administer contrast media when required and monitor patients appropriately
- Start peripheral IVs as needed and maintain strict radiation safety and isolation precautions
- Accurately document exams and patient information in Epic
- Collaborate with ER and outpatient teams to prioritize and manage urgent imaging needs
- Float within scope to assist with X-ray coverage when the department needs backup
- Maintain equipment awareness (Siemens MRI, Phillips X-ray) and report any issues to leadership
Qualifications
- Required certifications: ARMRIT and/or ARRT MR and ARRT R (MRI, CT and X-ray certifications required to qualify for an offer)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ARRT CT is preferred but not strictly required
- 0 years experience accepted — first-time travelers encouraged to apply
- Must be able to float to X-ray duties when needed and work in ER/outpatient settings
- Locals not accepted — candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending license not accepted; active, valid credentials required prior to start
Education
- Certification in MRI/CT/X-ray (ARRT MR, ARRT R, ARMRIT required; ARRT CT preferred)
- BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with MRI imaging and protocols, including Siemens 1.5T systems
- CT and X-ray imaging knowledge and hands-on experience
- Contrast media preparation and administration
- Radiation safety practices and PPE/isolation precautions
- Peripheral IV insertion skills
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Comfort working with adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in ER and outpatient settings
- Ability to perform specialized imaging (angiography runs, musculoskeletal series, brain and spine protocols)
