Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging procedures with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and administer contrast media following facility protocols and safety checks
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as needed for imaging exams
• Operate PACS and RIS systems (including EPIC charting) to manage images and documentation
• Use advanced post-processing tools (3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction) to support diagnostic teams
• Maintain radiation safety practices and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE
• Respond professionally to on-call and emergency imaging requests, including overnight coverage
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient care

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT CT certification strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of CT/X-ray experience required; 2–3 years preferred
• Demonstrated experience with contrast administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV insertion and venipuncture
• Comfortable using PACS platforms and EPIC RIS/HIS for charting and image distribution
• Able to work assigned mid shifts, weekly on-call nights, and occasional weekends
• Community hospital or emergency department experience preferred; travel/contract experience not required

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanning techniques and protocols (including vascular CTA and contrast studies)
• General radiography (portable and fixed X-ray systems)
• Contrast media preparation and safe administration
• Radiation safety principles and best practices
• Peripheral IV placement and venipuncture
• PACS workflows (Synapse, OnePacs) and image post-processing (3D rendering, MPR)
• Familiarity with Siemens, Toshiba, Canon Aquilon CT and Siemens X-ray equipment
• EPIC RIS/HIS charting experience
