Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with orthopedic assessments and patient care in an outpatient setting
• Prepare and apply splints, assist with casting and basic orthotic devices
• Document treatments, assessments and procedures accurately in EPIC
• Support patient flow by rooming patients, prepping equipment, and coordinating visits
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, sterilization and clinic setup
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to ensure positive outcomes
• Coordinate referrals, follow-ups and basic administrative tasks to keep clinics running smoothly
• Float to nearby clinics (Tarzana or Mission Hills) on rare occasions when needed

Qualifications

• NBCOT OTC certification required (candidate MUST hold OTC credential)
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic or outpatient clinic experience
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred and required for accurate documentation
• Willingness to float occasionally; travel flexibility for contract work
• First-time travelers are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Pending state licenses are not accepted for this role
• No weekend or on-call requirement for this assignment

Education

• NBCOT OTC certification (required)
• Active state license as applicable (pending licenses are not accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with outpatient orthopedic workflows and patient care
• Proficient EPIC charting and clinical documentation skills
• Hands-on skills with splinting, basic casting assistance and orthotic device handling
• Excellent patient communication and customer service
• Ability to manage clinic logistics and support efficient patient throughput
• Detail-oriented with solid infection control and equipment sterilization practices
