Shift Type: Night, 4x12-hour schedule, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; nights with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage required, floats within like units as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to critically ill adults and pediatric patients in the ICU
- Manage ventilators and advanced airway support consistent with unit protocols and patient needs
- Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to maintain clear, up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, therapists) to deliver coordinated care
- Float between like units as needed to meet patient and facility needs while maintaining standards
- Cover nights, holidays and every-other-weekend shifts as scheduled and participate in makeup shifts when required
- Adhere to facility vaccination and infection-control guidelines, including the flu vaccine policy
Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (critical care/ICU experience preferred)
- Comfortable and experienced working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients
- Proven ability to work night shifts and cover every-other-weekend requirements
- Willingness to float within scope to like units to meet staffing needs
- Pending licenses are not accepted — active state licensure required
- Compliant with facility vaccine policies (flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed)
Education
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active state respiratory therapist license (pending licenses not accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Respiratory therapy fundamentals and advanced critical care interventions
- Pediatric and adult ICU patient management
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record/charting
- Ventilator management and airway support
- Ability to work independently overnight and escalate care appropriately
- Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
