Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating weekly 4x10 schedule: Day shift 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4x10); Night shift 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (4x10). Alternates weekly between days, nights and includes weekend coverage as needed. Weeknight and weekend on-call required; occasional Saturday coverage (e.g., 5/16/26).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, arterial mapping, renal artery duplex, lower extremity arterial/venous exams, and duplex/Doppler evaluations
• Operate portable and Philips EPIQ ultrasound equipment, including transcranial Doppler when required
• Provide accurate, timely documentation in Epic and communicate clear findings to interpreting physicians
• Ensure patient safety and comfort across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response and transport to support patient care
• Maintain equipment, follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols, and participate in on-call rotations
• Support special studies such as arterial graft, dialysis graft, stent evaluations, and transplant studies when requested

Qualifications

• RVT certification and an active state ultrasound technologist license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound (Doppler/duplex/vascular studies)
• ARDMS, CCI RVS, or RDCS credentials strongly preferred
• Comfortable with Epic charting; prior experience preferred
• Willingness to work rotating 4x10 shifts, weekend coverage and weeknight/weekend on-call
• Strong patient communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups and care settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Vascular ultrasound techniques: Doppler studies, duplex scanning, color flow imaging
• Carotid, arterial mapping, renal artery duplex, lower/upper extremity arterial and venous exams
• Transcranial Doppler (TCD) and arterial graft/dialysis graft assessments
• Experience with Philips EPIQ and portable ultrasound systems
• Familiarity with infection control, isolation precautions and PPE
• Solid documentation practices in Epic and clear interdisciplinary communication
