Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and assist with interventional radiology procedures to deliver safe, precise patient care
• Prepare patients and maintain sterile fields during procedures, ensuring high standards of infection control
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the multidisciplinary team to support complex cases at a Level III trauma/teaching hospital
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic to keep the care team informed
• Respond to on-call and weekend needs, stepping up when patients need you most
• Maintain equipment, stock procedure rooms, and ensure readiness for urgent cases
• Provide compassionate patient education and pre/post-procedure support to reduce anxiety and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• ARRT registration — must be actively registered (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (required)
• Comfortable charting in Epic — proven experience preferred
• Weekend availability (every other weekend) and ability to take call
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Traveler eligibility: locals within a 50-mile radius of the main campus are not accepted; pending licenses are not accepted
• Ability to meet facility vaccination guidelines (flu required; COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility policy)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Fluoroscopy safety and radiation protection practices
• Patient positioning, vascular access support, and contrast administration assistance
• Proficient Epic charting and electronic documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity environments
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively during on-call situations
