Shift Type: Day, 4x10 schedule — 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM; specific days vary by unit with every-other-weekend coverage required; day shift with required call duties
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures by preparing the room, instruments and imaging equipment
- Operate and monitor fluoroscopy and related imaging devices safely and effectively
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure strict infection control throughout procedures
- Closely monitor patients before, during and after procedures, documenting observations in Epic
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians and techs to coordinate efficient patient flow and timely care
- Perform quality control and routine maintenance on imaging equipment and report issues promptly
- Educate patients and families about procedures and provide compassionate support
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and departmental policies to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (MUST have IR experience)
- Current Radiologic Technologist licensure appropriate for practice in North Carolina (pending licenses not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS and NIH certifications required
- Proven experience charting in Epic
- Willingness to work day shifts, every-other-weekend rotation and required call
- Ability to float within scope to support like units as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
- Fluoroscopy and imaging equipment operation and safety
- Patient monitoring, assessment and post-procedure care
- Radiation safety principles and safe handling of contrast
- Proficient Epic charting and documentation skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
