Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support safe transfers and mobility while following proper body mechanics
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and promptly in the resident record
- Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (eligible to work in New Mexico)
- T-CNA or travel CNA experience is a plus and aligns well with this role
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts Monday through Wednesday
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
- Reliable time management and charting accuracy
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
