Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Observe, document and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Provide timely and friendly personal care while promoting independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and families to deliver person-centered care
• Help create meaningful moments — engage residents in conversation and activities to improve quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active CNA registration or eligibility to work in New Mexico
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts on the scheduled days (Sun, Fri, Sat)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Professional, patient-focused approach with reliable attendance

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Basic observation and reporting of resident status
• Documentation skills and following care plans
• Infection control and hygiene best practices
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and teamwork
