Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing and feeding
- Assist nursing staff with vital signs, mobility support and safe transfers
- Document resident observations accurately and report changes in condition
- Follow care plans and infection control procedures to keep residents safe
- Support restful nights by assisting with nighttime routines and comfort measures
- Collaborate respectfully with the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of New Mexico
- Active basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Experience working night shifts or in long-term care settings is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lift and transfer residents safely
- Clear background check and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care standards and basic clinical procedures
- Strong observation and communication skills to report resident changes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
- Respectful, patient-centered approach to care
