Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents — assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs, report changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Follow care plans and document care accurately in the patient chart
• Create welcoming, respectful interactions that preserve resident dignity and promote independence
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, collaborative care environment
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state registry required
• T-CNA credential if applicable to the facility (training or documented experience preferred)
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work 12+ hour day shifts as scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Familiarity with electronic charting and basic documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
• Team-oriented with a positive, patient-first attitude
