Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Accurately document care provided and observations in resident records
- Support mobility, transfers, and safe toileting practices using proper body mechanics
- Follow individualized care plans and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA credential is a plus
- Travel CNA experience preferred but new travel CNAs are welcome
- Ability to work the assigned schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
- Current basic health requirements: immunizations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude toward residents
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
- Proficiency in safe patient handling and infection prevention
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and care teams
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Teamwork mindset and adaptability on a travel assignment
