Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in condition to the nurse in charge
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care and observations in a timely, clear, and professional manner
• Maintain infection control practices and follow facility protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate effectively and courteously with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with mealtime and ensure residents’ nutritional needs and preferences are respected
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes resident dignity and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA classification listed for this role
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends (Sun, Fri, Sat)
• Current immunizations and ability to complete facility onboarding and background checks as required
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks required for resident care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic patient care tasks and ADLs
• Skilled in taking/recording vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and nurse instructions
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
