Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while following facility protocols
- Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support mealtime, hygiene, and comfort needs with dignity and respect
- Accurately document care provided and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
- Contribute to a positive, team-first culture that prioritizes resident safety and quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for the state of New Mexico
- Travel CNA (T-CNA) designation or willingness to complete travel documentation
- Ability to work 13-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 7:30 PM) on scheduled days
- Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete facility-required screenings and background checks
- Reliable, professional attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection prevention and basic isolation precautions
- Time management for busy, long-shift days
- Clear verbal and written communication for documentation and handoffs
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
