Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Perform vital signs monitoring and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics
• Support resident comfort and dignity through respectful, person-centered care
• Document care activities clearly and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through friendly, consistent care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to follow care plans and directions
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safe handling procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with residents
• Basic documentation skills and timely communication with nursing staff
• Adaptability to changing resident needs and shift demands
