Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate resident care by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and ambulation, following facility protocols
- Support infection prevention practices by following immunization and screening requirements
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident comfort and dignity
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the appropriate state (required)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to pass a Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (required)
- Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, and a recent Physical/Health Statement (required)
- Comfort working in a per-diem/PD Pool environment with variable scheduling
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on resident care skills and respect for patient dignity
- Knowledge of infection control best practices and immunization compliance
- Good observation and communication skills for reporting resident changes
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies consistently
- Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to adapt to shift needs
