Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support residents with mobility, personal hygiene, feeding, and toileting needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility care plans
- Adhere to infection control practices and personal protective equipment protocols
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing to maintain high standards of care
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues
- Help create a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for every resident
Qualifications
- Current state CNA certification (must be in good standing)
- BLS certification required
- Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and license/certificate verification
- Must complete required health screenings: fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, respirator evaluation, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, and influenza vaccine
- Successful background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and reliable work ethic
Education
- State-certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Able to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and proper use of PPE
- Good documentation and basic charting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Situational awareness and resident safety focus
