Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility, transfers and positioning to promote resident comfort and dignity
- Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver cohesive care
- Participate in required screenings, fit testing and annual health checks to stay assignment-ready
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Indiana (or equivalent) with license/certificate verification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Compliance with required health screenings: 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, Trinity 10 panel drug screen and fit test
- Trinity color vision check completed as required
- Comfortable working in a long-term care / skilled nursing environment and supporting resident-centered care
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and resident ADLs
- Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Good observational skills and ability to report changes in condition
- Teamwork, reliability and a respectful approach to residents and families
- Basic charting and documentation skills
