Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect resident care under the direction of an RN or LVN, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Deliver personal care and compassionate attention to resident needs during the night
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document resident care clearly and accurately using basic computer systems
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current CALIFORNIA CNA certificate (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills — both verbal and written
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully
- Basic computer skills for documentation and charting
- Available to work night shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Direct and indirect resident care best practices
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Personal care techniques and resident comfort measures
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting and documentation
- BLS fundamentals and emergency awareness
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Professional interpersonal skills in a healthcare setting
