Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy and gait and balance training to improve function
• Assist, assess, and safely perform patient transfers and mobility tasks
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure correct billing/reporting
• Coordinate care with the Rehab Director and interdisciplinary team for best outcomes
• Supervise support personnel in your immediate work area and mentor as needed
• Participate in in-services, community education, and facility meetings

Qualifications

• Current Arizona physical therapy license required for submission
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (minimum)
• Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
• Ability to safely lift and control up to 50 pounds and perform minimal assist transfers
• Comfortable with predominantly physical job duties (approx. 90% physical tasks)
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and development of effective treatment plans
• Manual therapy techniques and hands-on intervention
• Gait, balance training, and safe patient transfer techniques
• Clinical documentation best practices and billing/reporting knowledge
• Familiarity with Medicare, private insurance, and facility policies
• Team collaboration, patient education, and community outreach
