Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic CNA care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support residents during meal times with feeding and mealtime assistance as needed
- Monitor residents overnight and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Float between two floors as needed to ensure consistent resident coverage
- Document care accurately in PCC and communicate effectively with the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment that promotes dignity
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience, with prior long-term care experience preferred
- Comfort and experience working nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Ability to float between floors and adapt to changing resident needs
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL assistance including bathing and meal support
- Experience with long-term care routines and resident-centered care
- Familiarity with PCC charting and floor floating responsibilities
- Strong observational skills for overnight monitoring and reporting
- Team player with good time management and documentation habits
