Location: Santa Cruz, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with night call and weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons and the OR team during a wide range of surgical cases
Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety at every step
Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical staff for smooth case flow
Handle surgical instruments and supplies with precision and care
Rotate through weekend and call shifts to support continuous patient care

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience as a Surgical Tech or OR Tech strongly preferred
Ability to work 10-hour shifts and participate in call rotation
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet EMR
Familiar with Phillips telemetry and Draeger ventilators
Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
