Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios
Monitor and titrate medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
Care for patients with hypertension, diabetes, and post-surgical GYN needs
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse on every shift
Maintain excellent patient experience scores in a Blue Distinction+ unit

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Willingness to follow facility policies including no artificial nails in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN guidelines and 1:1 labor ratios
Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
Comfortable titrating IV medications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with minimal floating
