Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate intermediate care to cardiac and vascular patients
Titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Nitro, and Cardizem to maintain patient stability
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Support post-surgical CVICU patients during their first 24 hours of recovery
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiology teams around the clock
Float to same or lower acuity units as needed to support hospital-wide care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiac or vascular patient populations
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and hardwired monitoring systems
Titration of Amiodarone, Nitroprusside, Nicardipine, Epinephrine, and Cardizem
BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula respiratory support
Post-cath lab, EP, structural heart, and thoracic surgery patient care
Remote tele tech collaboration and independent rhythm analysis
