Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Manage arterial lines and support patients requiring high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences and outcomes
Float to Med-Surg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to work every other weekend and at least two holidays during the contract

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Arterial line management
High-flow oxygen therapy support
Patient education and clear communication
Flexibility to float between PCU, Med-Surg, and ICU
