Location: Canon City, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts, self-scheduling with balanced schedule provided to manager, 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule, rotating holidays, call requirement per census

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive LDRP environment
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10
Collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure safe deliveries and positive birth experiences
Respond to call shifts and support the unit during high-census periods
Float within Zone 1 when needed to support sister facilities and maintain excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, and STABLE certifications required
LDRP experience strongly preferred
Comfortable reading your own fetal monitoring strips
Willingness to float within Zone 1 when the unit is low-census

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
Experience with high-BMI, diabetic, and substance-use patient populations
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, dedicated team
Flexible and adaptable to changing census and floating needs
