Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines for critically ill newborns
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby or L&D units to support newborn transitions and well-baby care
Apply critical thinking and multi-tasking skills to deliver safe, high-quality care
Follow AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of NICU nursing experience
Strong communication, critical thinking, and multi-tasking abilities
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Experience caring for neonatal patients on ventilators and with central lines
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
Comfortable floating between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D units
Understanding of AWHONN/NANN neonatal staffing guidelines
