Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg patient care following established protocols and standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and safe discharges
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Float to other departments as needed, adapting quickly and maintaining standards of care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Washington State nursing license or compact/multi-state license with required verifications
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Completed 6-hour suicide prevention training (approved)
• Nursys demographic verification
• Med/Surg nursing experience (preferred)
• Team player mindset and willingness to float to other departments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Familiarity with Meditech is a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy 12+ hour shifts
• Adaptability to changing patient needs and unit assignments
